(Junior) Supply Chain & Expediting Engineer Turnhout

Job Description

As a Supply Chain & Expediting Engineer, you will be the point of contact for logistics and purchasing activities related to large international sustainable energy projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all expediting tasks to ensure timely deliveries.
• Send out price inquiries to suppliers.
• Create and discuss delivery schedules with various suppliers.
• Negotiate delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Oversee call-offs and inspections upon delivery.
• Maintain close contact with the Procurement Manager and other project team members regarding progress, agreements, potential risks, and issues.
• Follow up on planning and quality checks post-delivery.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Evaluate suppliers and products (audits, satisfaction surveys, sampling, etc.) and propose improvements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance.

You will work from the headquarters in the Turnhout region, with the possibility to work 2-3 days a week from the Antwerp office.

Profile

• Engineer (e.g., Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Energy, Chemistry, etc.) or Business Engineer with experience
• Recent graduates are definitely eligible!
• Proactive | Results-oriented | Commercial | Communicative | Team player
• Fluent in English communication
  Willing to occasionally travel to construction sites and visit suppliers
